4 months to release I sure hope they have it down depending what version they have as alpha atm.

This has always come up since the BF3 Alpha/Beta. Everyone assumed the graphics weren't at their highest and that they would be better on release but no. The graphics in the Alphas and Betas were identical to the final release (texture wise) apart from them adding the blue tint in BF3. This was also true for the Star Wars Battlefront Alpha.

Frostbite is a remarkable engine. It can achieve very impressive results without requiring hardware that doesn't yet exist.

Not true. I was in the BF4 alpha and most of the environmental textures were not included.

Ah, yes I remember that one now. That was pretty strange how they did that. Think that goes to show how rushed the game clearly was. 4/5 months from release and the "main" map wasn't even textured!

yeah the snow Maps were horrible for that....no detail made judging distance a real chore
