basically MS needs to update windows10 to fix that crapQuantum Break and Windows 10
Microsoft has identified a Windows 10 memory management issue that may cause
Quantum Break to crash on some GPUs. This crash is seen more frequently at higher
game settings. Microsoft plans to fix this in a future Windows Update. For more
information see this notice
I don't buy for a second that drivers were killing GPUs. There's millions of GPUs out there and a couple people had GPUs die after upgrading (most likely just due to random failure), posted about drivers -potentially- killing their GPUs, and then every person that had a GPU failure from there on blamed the drivers. People have GPUs die all the time.
I agree, it's either some silly kid pushing for bigger benchmark numbers, or trying to flash a custom bios and screw it up. Then they simply blame Nvidia to make themselves feel better. Considering the intelligence of those that frequent the Nvidia forums and the internet in general the probability is incredibly high that a hobbit (small person) is to blame.Originally Posted by Murlocke

I wouldn't worry. NVIDIA found no proof of the drivers killing even a single GPU and the drivers were never pulled. There'd be thousands of cases now if it were really happening.
They are all safe if you:
They are safe if you extract them normally and install all their stuff. Its cool that people don't want 3dvision or geforce experience but don't act like its going to hurt anything because it all runs fine.
actually, geforce experience enables some nvidia shield streaming services by default that decrease fps
He made it seem like if you don't install his way its going to hurt your computer. I use geforce experience becuase it tells me when new drivers are out. On my laptop it helps me get to playable settings very easily and tweak from there. I also use shadowplay from time to time. I'm not trying to pretend geforce experience is the best thing ever but he made it seem like its going to hurt you if you don't install special way. The average person including most people on this site wouldn't notice the performance hit you get by having the stuff run in the background on a daily basis. They may notice the FPS hit from the streamer service but that is easily remedied.Originally Posted by xzamples

here is how to disable them https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/344z7f/nvidia_usersraise_your_fps_and_save_cpu_usage_by/ or better yet don't install geforce experience at all
Same. Gfe is a great software and not a bloatware. It is actually a very good software.Originally Posted by b.walker36
