Battlefield 4 went from a VGA to HDMI and now the 1920x1080 is 59.94Hz

After Going from VGA to HDMI connection my monitor refresh rate went from 60Hz to 59.94 Hz. I wanted to see if HDMI connected to my GTX 970 and Samsung LS27E390HS was better than a VGA connection, however while trying to play battlefield 4 it is not buttery smooth. When I looked at the BF4 settings I noticed that the refresh rate was 59.94 so I know now it is out of sync. After trying many things like uninstalling the Drivers, reset the monitor to factory default also a new HDMI cable, I'm out of ideas.

Has anyone run into this problem of BF4 showing a sync refresh rate of 59.94 Hz with HDMI? also looking for a solution otherwise i'm going to have to go back to VGA cord hookup at 1920x1080 at 60Hz.

Does BF3 or BF4 run 1920x1080 at 60Hz in the Battlefield screen menu With HDMI or DisplayPort on anyone's PC?

The HDMI cable does not support above 60Hz.

Edit: I reread your post. 60Hz =59.94. It won't throw you out of sync.

what you could do is, disable vsync in BF4, and set an FPS limit in something like MSI Afterburner to 60fps.

Is that speed 59.94Hz? looks like I can't use DVI.

Not looking for FPS speed, looking for Graphics card to monitor connection speed to be a even 60Hz not 59.94 Hz.

Do you still have battlefield 3-4 on you PC, could you tell me what the refresh rate in Hz is in the Battlefield screen menu is, I am wondering if it is a even number?

Thanks for all responding, what monitor do you have? Just a little background, I had my system setup like G-sync, without the G sync monitor, what I did is lock my even 60FPS to my even 60Hz VGA monitor connection, it was vary vary buttery smooth playing, the FPS were in sync with the monitor refresh rate, it was perfect for all games just like G-sync..
