You watch JoJo?

That is probably the only thing I always watch it's so crazy 😂

As for FF X I'd say it is much more western than IX. Sure some dialogues are weird, but it's a great game.

I think you have me spot on. The atmosphere and aesthetic of FFVII was so cool to me back then. I don't know if anyone remembers the TV spots for it but after I saw those my life became a mission to get a PSX into my house. It was the only game I owned for the system for a long time.

My fondness for FFVII resulted in a blind purchase of FFVIII which was good in its own right but that draw system.....

When I picked up IX I was sorely disappointed. At the time, I had zero exposure to the older games (or RPGs in general really) so I could not comprehend why Square would do this me. Honestly I didn't even give it chance before perma-shelving it. Now though, I'm a little older, a little wiser, and a little more patient with things. Maybe one day I'll fire it up and see what I've been missing out on. .

FFX felt very VII/VIIII to me so I was right at home. I remember really enjoying it back then.

I must be the only person ever to actually like the Draw system in FFVIII. redface.gif Made me prioritise.

FFIX is an excellent game; although I admit that it was almost 100% the music that sold it to me... nonetheless the battle music did get a little tedious after a while. biggrin.gif

I do really like FFVI, but that mobile port on Steam is horrible. frown.gif

FFVIII had one of the best combat systems in the series. It wasnt the combat that was the issue, it was everything else. This coming from someone that has played it for hundreds of hours. Some of the characters were annoying as hell. The story was great at times and poor in others. That said - i would LOVE a remaster/remake of it. The graphics were for me not as good as FFVII.

For as games it goes:
FF VII > FF X > FF VIII > FF IX > FFX-2 > FF XIII

Its a toss up between the top 3 as they are all such great games that they are very close, i play them all still. XI, X-2 and XIII however were average to dreadful. XI was okay wasnt keen on the combat, or the world setting X-2 was just bad which is annoying as hell as the "dress sphere" system was such a good idea and should be used again, just not in such an overly girly way. XIII. My god i hated that game.
