Both AMD and NVIDIA have the technology to "increase" the resolution on monitors that dont support it. For instance, I can use my 1080p screen and render a game in 4K.

This technology has been out for a while, but I just been out the game for a long period of time. I have numerous questions if anyone can help:

1. If I use the 4K option, as it would start rendering at 4K, my performance should drop too and have similar performance (fps) as someone who actually has a 4k screen?

2. As it is rendering in 4K, if I record the gameplay, it should output in 4K right? Would it be the same quality if someone else rendered it in an actual 4K screen?
