The Little Big Bullitt - a caselabs bh4 Bullet build - Page 34

Great idea.

Sorry honey ... the dog looked a little down so I spruced him up with a fresh coat of paint. I know ... who knew he would then run through the sheets we had hanging out the back.

If you ask your local shop, they might let you paint with the materials and location, you'd just have to "rent" the room for a period of time, it might be cheaper than having them do it, it would also help you get a feel for a gun as it's vastly different from a can.

Yep, that might work. Meanwhile divider and reservoir ready:

2853550
2853551
2853552

and details of the reservoir including the mounting system. Seems to be holding pretty good the water and I did a better job on this one.

Can't believe I hadn't already subbed to this, must have just been lurking all this time, lol!.

The "Ferrari wheel" cutout really defines this build.
And so does the custom reservoir, much as the S5 with the look of an S8 did.

It's going to look fantastic with the Aquaero mounted in the custom cutout.
Really love what you've done with this latest build Gabe.

Was missing you smile.gif Welcome in and thank you. Still a lot to come so don't worry. Have some set backs on the paint and just today was peeling off the powder painting from it:

2854224
2854225

Decided will place the bar higher and take my paint skills to another level. After all that is all about in my builds, a learning process to acquire skills and build PCs that I like and use in the end. Will take the plunge and do the painting myself with new gear (compressor and gun). So far all my painting have been done with cans and with my little iwata airbrush. But that is limiting in finish and colors and for this build a need (want) a specific color and finish.

So, order a balanced compressor and gun and will see how it goes.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

that would be good for some HVLP guns while still been a manageable size for home use. Have my eyes on a touch up gun HVLP but with low air consumption from Iwata and Devilbiss but they are damn expensive down here. Before however I order a less expensive one suitable for this compressor with a 1.3 mm needle. Should do the job and will allow me to stretch my legs and learn how to paint with a gun/compressor.

That looks like a real pain, stripping the powdercoat down to the bare aluminum.
But it has to be done.

That's a good plan getting the compressor and paint gun, so much more you will be able to do now.
I can only imagine how costly some items can be in Brasil.
It's expensive up here too, but certainly worth the investment for doing a lot of paintwork.

Good idea to start with the more reasonable paint gun and work up later.thumb.gif

kind a like the brushed bare aluminum biggrin.gif
