The Little Big Bullitt - a caselabs bh4 Bullet build

Hi Folks

I was not planning a new build for this first semester and had quite a different idea of what I was going to do next (a heavily modded medium case with custom divider and a lot of integration - reservoir, pumps and so on). But I could not pass on this awesome case and have a relatively portable small pc but at the same time quite powerful and hopefully nearly silent. So here I am with a BH4 bullet ordered (I think I was the first one but I might be mistaken) and already the first pieces arriving for it. Here is the plan and components:

The plan - Mod the case to include a top window as well as a front window. On the front window a custom build acrylic reservoir (either rectangular or perhaps circular) will be fitted. I am toying with several ideas here including a custom made mask at one end of the spectrum or on the other hand no frontal window as long as the reservoir would be still visible and have an effect on frontal view. Despite this not be set in stone yet the loop order and components placement are already done (in my mind).

Components:

MB - EVGA x99 micro2
CPU - Likely the 5960x (ended up with the 5830 instead)
RAM - 32 Gb trident black and white
SSD - 1 1tb samsung evo and 1 Intel 750 1.2 TB (pci-e) - If pci-e could not fit in a pleasant loop will be replaced with a samsung 940 m2 SSD (512 GB - scavanged from Chessboard)
PSU - Silverstone 500w SFF-L
GPU - 1 Radeon nano with Aquacomputer block
smile.gif

Cooling
1 d5 Aquacomputer USB 1 EK PWM DDC
1 Ek revo top
12 mm acrylic tube (thick walled)
1 custom reservoir (it will be a cute little big thing)
Clear liquid with blue/green tint to it
120 mm Silverstone 15mm slim fans (or GTs custom Painted)
1 Magicool 240 mm rad on top
c47 and 45 and 90 fittings
1 Heatkiller cpu block (III) ek Evo block
1 ekwb Titan X block
1 ekwb SSD Intel 750 block

the name of the build is homage to two good movies I like it from previous times....Let's see if you guys can guess. At the same time is a good play with the words for such a small and potentially powerful case/system

Hey Wermad. Welcome in. The green might make an appearance more prominent on this build in the near future. Depends on how this go the case might end up getting a paint job either by me or powder coated. something like this:

Just "ask" Bruce Lee and that's why folks still recall McQueen:

the ford factory color of the Bullitt car (68) and the redo's in the 2000s was "highland green":

Just some food for thought

I laughed out loud at "We're not worthy !"

Lol...yep. Bruce was from other world. Kind of joke to appear at a MIB movie. He was certainly ET.

Yep Wer. That color is beautiful isn't? Pity I don't live in US (where I could have easy access to it) but I will keep that info in mind.

Do you live in Brazil ? If so, PC hardware is expensive there?

Ask if the shop can do paint codes. The codes are available online. See if you can get samples and have a shop scan them. You can always ask for a dark green or something along the lines of British racing green too.

Yep. I live and it is expensive...Almost twice the cost in US and since the exchange rate is now skyrocketed is even more expensive...

Good idea.

But I am leaning on to one of those beautiful prismatic colors powders...There are so many I would like to try...

Pc'ing can limit your color choices. but i'm sure a shop should have something similar.

It sucks you pay more down there. I've sold to a few Brazilian members and they always mention its so expensive over there (like New Zealand).

Can't wait for pics

Im planning a build very similar to yours. Right now Im just waiting on Pascal and the new Broadwell-e. Im also waiting on the new 700w silverstone. Just trying to decide which color BH4 and which color Trident. Again very similar builds.

Oh yeah, also planning on getting the Micro 2 unless Computex surprises be with a mATX refresh of some kind..

cool Ragsters. I got a feeling that this case is going to be a big hit for CS. I think they nail it on this one. Just got word that PPC shipped goods for me. A bunch of fittings and fans (including 10 Gts PWM 1850 rpm
wubsmiley.gif
).
