The problem with waiting this long for part of a build is that new ideas keep popping up and the build plan morphs - which usually equates to more $$$ being spent . . .
Even though this is a small-ish case compared to some of the big builds I've done in a Corsair 900D or the CaseLabs M8's, fan control is still necessary especially with a custom water loop I feel. Yes I could let the system handle it with PWM, but we don't do enthusiast cases like CaseLabs or custom loops to do things on the cheap. My original plan was to take my current fan controller (Sunbeam Rheostat 6), and do a simple mod into the lower compartment of the BH7 bottom right side. This would allow me to control all the fans and leds manually as I have been for years.
Someone earlier in the thread suggested the Aquaero 6 FC. At the time I considered it to be overkill. I think it is still overkill frankly, but the LCD touch panel aesthetic will look much better and cleaner instead of knobs sticking out of the front. I also want to make the jump to some more automation with the software instead of manual operation of the knobs. So, I put the order in: Aquaero 6 XT, passive heatsink, black face plate.
The mounting will be pretty straight forward. Cut a clean square hole, attach mounting brackets to the inside of the case, and done. If this case doesn't ship soon, I'm going to find something else to spend money on damn it!
