Post Your Fiji ASIC Quality!! - Page 6

Just wanted to share this test data smile.gif . So the Fury Nitro OC + the 2nd one I got, shown in post 47 of this thread. ASIC Quality 62.1% and on stock ROM with 1050MHz GPU was 1250mV DPM 7. The ROM also has a global VDDC offset of ~38mV (AIDA64 is unaware of this), so final VID is 1288mV.

Now when I flash that card with Nitro OC ROM aka 1020MHz we get 1237mV DPM 7 VID.

Next I mod ROM to 1000MHz, the AMD ref clock for Fury Pro and we get 1206mV DPM 7 VID.

IMO the VID on factory ROM (ie OC+ 1050MHz) is basically a OC voltage to GPU and not it's real stock VID, as we can see there is ~+82mV difference between OC+ ROM DPM 7 VID mod ROM I made (VDDC offset +/- 0mV).

In reality the AISC profiling of GPU is done based on AMD ref clocks. The ROM has some GoldenDB data on what VID to set for which LeakageID (ASIC Quality), then the "ASIC profiling" does the rest. The GoldenDB data is differing for Fury / Fury X / Nano, I will at some point make the tables from GoldenDB showing VIDs it has.

Glad i changed my 980 to a Fury! Really a beast !

R9 Fury Nitro OC+ here with a 59.8% asic .

Without any overvoltage 1150mhz out of the box .
Currently undervolting with -78mV .

So i read there's a sweatspot where undervolting produces instability/problems ,but can't find some evidence of this right now...

sapphire tri-x Fury 60.2%

it has all the cores unlocked and seems to play best at 1060 and -25mV (only recently started the OC testing)

Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury Tri-X OC+

Unfortunately none of the CUs are unlockable so it's at stock CUs. Needs +48mV to get to 1100mhz core, but HBM OC's pretty decent I think being stable at 600mhz. Man is this Sapphire cooler amazing though. Idle/desktop usage the fan is completely off at 40C or less, under full load I get about 50C at 50% fan speed on my custom fan curve.
