That counts as "better support for Dx12" in my book.

But what about the details man?
The 980Tis is faster anyway but the thing is Fury X gests a performance boost in both those games while we hardly see any for the 980Ti.
So from slower the Fury X becomes more competitive in relation to the 980Ti.
That is what accounts for better support in my book.

Anyway this discussion is sterile.
It obvious that for you and ChevChelios the problem is not necessary DX12 but Nvidia's relation to DX12.
Basically that is why you are downplaying DX12.

I am downplaying dx12 because i am more supportive of Vulkan for obvious reasons.

Also, gain from Dx11 to Dx12 just means: "how bad Dx11 drivers were" to me.

and you are overplaying DX12, it hasnt gotten to that stage yet

No you are doing it because you are an nvidia fan.
If AMD will have a performance advantage while using Vulkan most likely it will receive the same treatment.

DX11 and DX12 are not identical plus one is in the past while the other is the future.
So a gain looks more positive that no gain or even worse a regression.

Not better, but the Fury and GTX 1080 are about equal in Hitman.

Hopefully AMD will announce the 480 series today, I would imagine these cards being launched and available for purchase at E3---> could be sooner (right away) or it could be later (june 29th) Hopefully they talk about zen APU's as well though.... but if they only talk about zen APU's ima cry

I am more of a linux user than nvidia fan. Latter comes pre-packaged as requirement for good experience.
Guru3d/[H] use built-in AotS bench, i don't see what THG uses and last one: Crazy is higher preset than Extreme.

In Ashes Fury can reach VRAM limit with 4x AA and higher resolutions, so results will be different from site to site. But if it's not choked by VRAM it pulls ahead of 980ti.

And I would really like to know how did they port Quantum Break, because in that game 390 is 2x faster than 970 sometimes, insane. Ofc, 390 beats 970 in all other ports, but not by that much.
