Another parcel has arrived.

I ordered the wrong size of compression fittings.

They're Bitspower 3/8"ID - 5/8"OD Straight Compression Fitting - Black Nickel and I have 8. The retailer won't accept a return as they're out of the package. The costs of a build log I suppose.

If anyone wants them let me know.

The ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 should be here by Friday or early next week.

Just a quick update:

I placed another 84 piece order placed with Performance PCs. I had to order quite a few more fittings and longer reservoir tubes for what I'm planning for my drainage, along with 3/8x1/2" compression fittings to replace the 3/8x5/8"s.

Component wise, the CPU will be a binned 6850k from Silicon Lottery. I think that's the Broadwell-E sweet spot for what I'll be doing with my PC, which will be mostly playing WoW and the latest games, with occasional streaming. The projected OCs on Broadwell-E are sounding slower than Haswell-E, but yet the 6950x is setting records on LN2. Hopefully we'll see some water cooled OCd Broadwell-E benchmarks in single threaded applications before I'm purchasing mine.

I'm playing "wait and see" with the 1080s, but currently leaning towards the MSI custom board with 8+6, if only to show off a few more Icemodz cables.

With my Caselabs case scheduled for an early July delivery, hopefully the timeline will align with support for custom AIB waterblocks and a monoblock for my RVe10 from EK.

Just ordered a pre-binned 4.6GHz 6850k from Silicon Lottery!

I've mounted the EK Monarch heatspreaders onto the memory. I put together an assembly of cardboard and angle brackets to ensure consistent alignment. My memory was single sided and I had to wait for my 1.5mm thermal pads to arrive from Performance PCs, but that's done.

I've run into a bit of an obstacle with my monitor mounting. I had intended to mount on the opposite wall from my current wall-mounted setup, but there aren't any usable studs. I'll either have to take down the shelf in the office, wall-mount in the guest room and use that as the office instead, or use a monitor stand. I'll take some measurements and see what makes sense.

Subbed. Shaping up to be an impressive build!

These are the loops I'm planning. The circles are pass-through fittings and the four symbols are quarter turn manual on/off valves.

The pass-throughs behind the reservoirs will go to 90 degree fittings on the other side with valves on them to minimize any dead-leg in that part of the loop. At the bottom of the front-mounted radiators will be Q-fittings connecting the dead-leg to the drain valve.

I'll have exhaust fittings on the top of the 480 rads (on the inlet side of those radiators, they'll drain from the outlet) as well as removable stop-plugs on the reservoir tops for atmospheric pressure there.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit 3 or 4 intake fans on the bottom of the case yet, and I'm waiting for the case to arrive to purchase them. I may be limited on fan channels on my Aquero anyway, so those might end up being at a fixed speed or controlled from the motherboard. TBD.
