i just completed the game it took me around 14h, it has 22 chapter i think, some were mostly cut scenes or collectibles\treasures and little combat or puzzle but the rest pack with good action.

the graphics didn't impressed me once i switched to a monitor because i could easily see that everything lack of tessellation or polygon count(that is why i mentioned dx9) and aa but its fine on a tv.
i did like the parallax occlusion in some scenarios tho
the design is gorgeous but graphically is nothing special (Click to show)

anyway game play wise its not for everybody, if you like a storydriven cinematic experience ya it will be one of the best out there

Lack of tessellation... wait, what? Realize that the vast majority of tessellation is used for hardware scaling, followed by the use to make up for a lack of dev resources (why place every detail by hand when we can generate "mediocre" details on the fly?). The only respectful use of tessellation is for dynamic LOD, and it's the relative minority when it comes to most games, especially PC games. The more tessellation a game has these days, you can pretty much guarantee the lower quality software.

Parallax Occlusion is Tessellation driven.

No, PO is just mapping, and it has been around longer than tessellation. Read a wiki or two.

Nah. nVidia would just lock it away.

The problem with PC isn't people not co-operating, its the fact that its only dedicated developer is too busy pumping out hats.Whereas SONY and MS are pumping millions into R&D and have I.P.'s that attract better and better artists.

if you check the pics above you will see lots of surfaces and tree foliage that look like skyrim flat and shiny but they masked well with that vivid colour, light and that map design.
the parallax was only in the tire tracks and mud which it was cool but they could add a bit more around...
this game is meant to be played on a tv anyway, hardly to notice these things there.

And Tess has been around way before the first very first instance of Direct-X 11. So that's pretty old too!
