Small Form Factor Full ATX Gaming Case? - Page 3

Here is my current list of <50L ATX cases by volume that I'm interested in FWIW. Excluded Thermaltake, CM HAF (too many holes!), and Lian-Li (why are you still making so many cases with 5" bays?!), and known cheapos; might be some matx in there I didn't clip redface.gif

project FLIP - 299 x 165 x 405 - 19.98L - atx, 3x120, 2x120

RM2 - 209x302x341 - 31.82L - ATX, 1x120 (no flow, mod 2x120), bottom 2x120 mod (PSU interference), top 2x120 mod
PhantoCase - 370x215x400 - 31.9L - atx, 2x180

anidees a17/a17m 288*380*380mm 41.6L

Ah..come on..the 1080 is totally innovative...Cool air comes in, hot air leaves. (Unlike OCN)

Excluding the HAF XB because of too many holes??? It is an open bench case, but then you can put the panels on. It's a great case for modding - starting with a flame thrower on the front bezel. Also there is a custom set of Demiflex filters for it. Not fully flameproof tho.

The Lian Li VX33 is 46L and no 51/4" bays. So..yeah, they could have trimmed it a bit. biggrin.gif

When you update your list, would you be so kind as to include links? (No? Fine I'll just DuckDuck it myself)

Which SilentiumPC case? They make more than one now. tongue.gif

Too true biggrin.gif

I do appreciate it, but it's release was suspicious, particularly given that Riotoro put out press releases for their other products months before release while this was pushed to Amazon days after CL's announcement, but hey, maybe they had it in the works, after all*...

I totally forgot Lian-Li has been implementing these "Direct-Air-Flow," 2-compartment designs for over a year now. doh.gif I generally don't pay much attention to their releases outside of itx... they seem to be a step behind in design trends and often make some confusing implementations considering how much they seem to care about design (nice dust filter, nice one-piece hood - what is up with those HDD trays? Looks like there's no PSU filter?).

Yeah, they are all great for modding but I generally find their designs to be way behind the times and plasticky, but I'm the kind of person who hasn't used a 5" drive in ~6 years redface.gif

I've been putting this list together in anticipation for a SFF, m2/u2 SLI build with plenty of cooling... so no 5" bays (direct airflow), space for at least 2x240mm radiators, and ideally an ATX PSU. I included some itx cases hoping that someone would implement multiple m2 slots on an itx board (with hopes for bifurcation, too!), but I can't really tell what form the SSD market is moving towards and haven't found that board yet (probably too hard to trace on such a small board frown.gif).

I've been trying to get myself to put together a Google sheet for a few months but I'm just too lazy redface.gif I might post my full list (which, with above caveats, excludes a lot of cases) if anyone wants to take up the project. thumb.gif

I just added the M60 (I had already had the RG1 in there - I might've missed one of the others due to dismissing them on face tongue.gif) - only sub-50L I hadn't seen, but I'm not exactly scraping sites for cases redface.gif

*And, for $80 or whatever, i wouldn't mind picking one up for modding... Steel though frown.gif

How do you think I should search for these? It's very hard to search by size, haha, without tons of either too large cases, or matx/iatx showing up.

https://geizhals.eu/ has by far the most powerful search engine, you can define volume, dimensions, motherboard sizes, fan mounts, etc, etc.

Just translate it to English with google chrome.

Here's the case section: https://geizhals.eu/?cat=gehatx#gh_filterbox

Wow, that is a fantastic tool, thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to dig into it.

Thanks for sharing, you have amassed quite the list there!
The dimensions you included make the search so much easier.
As attractive as the CR1080 has been too me, it did seem seemingly cheap and low quality, so I figured a better version existed.
Still wish I could get my hands on one of those W2's without getting absolutely price-gouged for one in the US headscratch.gif

That Jonsbo UMX4 case looks great; 2x120 top, 2x120 bottom, 1x120 back, aluminium, sleek design.

If they could've gotten a 2x120 in the front, than it would be perfect. rolleyes.gif

Bump
I still haven't decided xD
Thought I should share my discoveries for you all and whoever else stumbles across this. All of the best looking small solution cases are just so overpriced, or more than I'm willing to pay mellowsmiley.gif

The NZXT S340 seems like the best and smallest in terms of litres that's cheap and readily available, and is great as I'm sure it is, it's a pretty generic aesthetic, and I don't want an NZXT, but it may be a great option for anyone else.

The newest Corsair 400C is only 42 litres and under $100 as well... just don't know why it has too look so cheap and ugly. Just something about that plastic in it...

Coming in at still 44 liters, but a beautiful option, is the In Win 305

Really want the Lian Li V33, but I can't warrant paying $219 for a case personally. I just bought a 4k monitor, a side dell monitor, and a gtx 1070 so... tonguesmiley.gif
The Anidees a17 is still my number one option at the moment, I just wish I could find something slightly more premium around, closer to the Lian lee for under $150.

Thought I should share my discoveries for you all and whoever else stumbles across this. All of the best looking small solution cases are just so overpriced, or more than I'm willing to pay mellowsmiley.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The NZXT S340 seems like the best and smallest in terms of litres that's cheap and readily available, and is great as I'm sure it is, it's a pretty generic aesthetic, and I don't want an NZXT, but it may be a great option for anyone else.

Have you checked out the In Win 303? Its killer value and looks great, not too big either. Makes cases like the Corsair 400C look like garbage and it costs less.
