most videos i see of the 270x paired with an AMD CPU get lower FPS than I do in crysis 3, bioshock infinite, and Tomb raider which arent even CPU limited. Most FX CPU will avg around 30-40fps in Crysis 3 on VHigh settings while I can push 40-50fps assuming all VHigh with FXAA for example. The FX CPU are decent enough, but the 970 is going to want something a bit beefier even more so than a 270x.

the 270x is a low end card obviously and the 970 is far beyond it, but in this situation you just end up making the bottleneck larger on one side vs the other where as before the CPU and GPU has less disparity in who was holding who back in what. Id much prefer to hold onto the 270x, save money for a while and get a new rig vs forking out for a 970 on an aging rig. If you feel you MUST turn on every little bit of eye candy (some of them really just hurting your ability to see tbh) then i suppose you can but really holding onto the 270x and stashing money away into a far better total upgrade is way more worth the time instead of going into a situation where OP is gonna realize the limitations of their CPU.

EDIT: on second thought though i really want your 270x lol upgrade if you want to and sell me it OP xD its not that im saying its a bad idea mind you, just think youd be better served waiting it out for more $.

Edit: Change FPS numbers to match more with Avg through whole game being 30-40/40-50 (closer to 40 in my case)

The 270x is most definitely not the bottleneck vs your 6100 BTW
are you sure its not he bottleneck in the division my gpu usageis only 60% and my cpu is 90%

try this and see if it helps you, ive heard of people having stuttering in the division and it being the game not your system.

that wouldnt matter lol I have cables, etc. and the only thing i would need is the card. If you do decide to do the upgrade and the above doesn't help you and the cards clean and in good condition/hasnt been abused (you cant really overvolt it without knowing what youre doing) then yea im interested. Send me a PM if you decide to and we can work out the details.

Depends if stock or not. Most FX-6300's will do 4.2ghz on the stock cooler if the ones I have tweaked for people are any indication. Some do 4.2 at below stock voltage. In most scenarios that alleviates CPU choking situations with something up to the GTX 680 or HD 7970 range. Some games still just refuse to run well on FX though, even at 4.6ghz or more, though that is not the majority.
