I had a bunch of them lying around from a previous build so instead of buying all new fans I just went with those. Haven't had any real issues with them. Man reason is purely aesthetic though with the ring. I just like how they look sitting behind the Caselabs grill red on gunmetal

Final update for 24 May.

Got a good bit done tonight but now it's time to head to bed. Work comes early for this guy. In the meantime, here are some pics.

Went ahead and took apart the mobo to paint it. Decided just to paint the shroud black and leave everything else gray and black to match the color scheme.

3 coats of black rattle can paint. Doesn't look too bad. While waiting on the shroud to dry I attacked the back panel to mount the reservoirs.

Wasn't too much of a hassle. Got one bracket a bit off, but was able to straighten it out. They aren't going to sit that low when Im done, was just making room for the 480 in the roof.

Rad installation went fairly quickly. Did have to flip around the barb slot covers to the top to let the rad sit flush against the top chassis, but other than that no issues and mounted right in. Looks pretty good. The red and gunmetal go so well together. After finishing up the rad, I brought the shroud back in since it looked like a monsoon was about to come through. Went ahead and screwed it onto the mobo to see how it looks. I think the all black/gray looks pretty good myself. Also went ahead and installed the CPU and EK Monoblock, mounted to the tray and put it in to see what it would look like. Things are coming together and looking pretty good.

Thinking im going to have to rotate the front 360 to have the openings on the bottom. Was going to try and leave it the way it is now, because was going to do a straight run up the side of the rad (think that would have looked nice). However its too easy to switch it around. Comes with putting pcs together; sometimes you have to modify your plans. No worries. No set schedule tomorrow, going to try and get the GPU's installed and some other things to prep drilling the midplate for the passthroughs. Might sleeve the pumps and get those ready, but we will see. I do need to put in an other order to PPCS for some showy stop fittings for the res ports. Thinking the real nice BP ones with the dragon in Black Chrome, or in the White. I have one white one sitting around from the P400 build, so I'll throw that on and see how it looks. Hope you all are enjoying the progress because I know I am. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts!

I just installed the EK Monoblock for the X99 Deluxe the other day.. The inlet/outlet location was weird. Took awhile to figure out a route that didn't look like ****. I am very interested and looking forward to see what you can come up with.

Yes it is really weird. I am actually having to relook my CPU loop plans due to the port placement. I have a few ideas, none of which I like at the moment. Gonna go back to the drawing board tonight on that one and see what I come up with.

Thanks for the motivation! Believe it or not I'm actually thinking of changing the shroud color. I'm thinking a gunmetal gray like the case with red accents. Don't get me wrong I like the all black but I have a few ideas for the shroud after looking at it. Haven't made a final decision yet. Still thinking about it.

Ha! Great minds must think alike...even your upgrade path and dilemmas are a mirror of where I am at!

I was up in the air about black shroud as well. Going to leave it for now and see what yours looks like in different colours!

What do you have planned for the tube route?

That's a nice lookin board you got there! Lol. I'm still up in the air as of now with the CPU loop placement. I have an idea of what I'm going to do just want to put it in the case and see what it actually looks like.
