20 tick means the server updates every 50ms, I think most of the crazy hooks are worse then that. I think it's because you can throw it out, then track someone as they go behind a wall, and it'll grab them instead of hitting the wall a lot of the time.

Damage falloff range decreased by 10 meters
Damage falloff amount is unchanged
As a result, even with this change, McCree’s effective range is still higher than it was at launch
Alternate Fire
Rate of fire increased by 15%
Flashbang
Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree can fire again) decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds

Developer Comments: McCree’s latest range increase helped him quite a bit, but it was a bit too much in the right hands. This change weakens his long range damage somewhat, but still keeps it stronger than it has been in the recent past. The other changes combine to allow him to land more alternate fire shots on targets that he has hit with Flashbang.

BUG FIXES

Targets of Ana’s Sleep Dart will no longer instantly recover when damaged (recovery time is now 0.5 seconds)


User Interface
Fixed UI compatibility issues for ATI cards
Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause Lúcio, Mei, and other models to only partially render (or disappear)

With Roadhog when I play Zenyatta, I just stay out of his hook range, slap a Discord on him, and proceed to nuke him from range. A full Zenyatta "clip" will sink any Roadhog since his headshot hitbox is quite large. And there are quite a few players in QP and some in Comp that are just not that good with his hook, making them walking Ult batteries. Just be mindful of his hook range (do we have an actual distance number for that because I can't seem to ever figure out what it is), and he's pretty easy to mitigate after that.

Like with any tank class. You most likely aren't going to take them down 1v1, at least not if you are within range of their abilities

As others have said, if Roadhog's hook is on cooldown that is your optimal time to engage. Yes, he has a heal but doing damage to him while he heals eats up what he is trying to gain back. He is also stationary and can't return fire while healing. People often die to RH because they forget that his hook timer will come back up and they try to get a little extra damage in only to get hooked and 1 shot

Pharah, Genji, Reaper, Bastion are all direct counters.

Pharah, sadly, needs some love of her own at the moment.


Yesterday's patch made McCree even more fun to play. Increased ROF on his alternate made you able to unload your clip then slide more effectively before the stun wore off.

I said Roadhog will eat Soldier 76 primary and secondary fire while not shooting back, heal himself while taking damage then proceed to eliminate his target. Practically making him invincible.

I get 200 HP vs 600 HP but he should not be able to take that much damage and heal himself while still taking damage plus win the 1 V 1. Plus I can and have stood in my own healing too. It's ridiculous lol

Right, it has to be like that. Soldier 76 should not be able to kill Roadhog 1v1. He's supposed to take at least some focus fire from multiple DPS, if you could kill him 1v1 he would melt instantly under focus fire and not be able to fulfill his role.
