I have a Lumia 640 with wp10. (Lack of) Apps or good apps is a real killer. Phone itself is fine. Runs pretty amazing for a $50 phone that you can unlock. Sad that WP probably won't make it. At least not in its current form.

Have a Lumia 640. It's a snappy little phone, however the app support is abysmal. Figured I'd try it anyway. Big mistake. App support kills windows phone. Everything else is fine.

Switching to Android soon.

This.

Hanging onto my 930 for as long as I can.

Not looking forward to the day when I have to buy another Droid.

As many have noted.

Apps sell phones and Windows Phone just does not have many.

The OS is generally fine(outside of some of the light hardware that JUST meets the requirements)

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with that. Sure, the phones are a bit weak, but WP (not 10, as I understand that disaster is quite a bit heavier on resources) is VERY light on resources and can therefore run well on almost anything.

I agree that WP has an app shortage, but luckily for me I'm fine with what it has. Of course I can understand if someone neeeds certain apps that WP doesn't have.

(Lumia 640 here, I used a 535 before and a 520 before that.)

Pretty much it. I'm using a 640 also.

There's no such thing as a Windows phone with "barely adequate hardware." Anyone saying that is an Android user who looks at the specs and automatically concludes it's not good enough. But WP runs fine on hardware that would be borderline unusable for Android.

WP 10 is a disaster. I've tried it on an 820 and my 640 three different times in the past year, and had to downgrade back to 8.1 every time. It's buggy as hell and not even more functional.

I'm going to hang onto the 640 for as long as I can, and hope they turn things around. If not, then I guess at some point I'll hold my nose and switch to Apple.

LOL, when microsoft bought nokia phone business for 5 billion I thought that damn that was cheap and bad move on nokia's part, but now it seems that this was the best possible move from nokia's part.

Microsoft sure is truly lost by eagerly trying this and that without making any progress. Remember zune, bing, and now phone business. Soon probably xbox too. Kepp up the good work microsoft. thumb.gif

I used windows phone for a few years as my primary phone and to be quiet honest i loved it. It was snappy, cortana actually understood what i said and all round the base experience was great.

Come windows 10 mobile everything went downhill. Connectivity issues, drop outs and random reboots (930 and then 950XL). The app issue was also a large deciding factor on why i switched to iphone but when you can't use your phone as a phone that is definitely as much as i can take. tongue.gif
