wireless hdmi?

here's the deal, I have a desktop that I only use for gaming with a gamepad. if I ever need, I have a wireless mouse and keyboard, but I don't have a desk, the pc sits near the tv (1080p) and the only cables connected to it are the power cable and the hdmi.

so that's my problem, since the tv is mounted to the wall, there is this ugly hdmi cable hanging from the tv into the computer, what also increases the distance between the mouse/keyboard/gamepad and the receivers, decreasing signal strenght, and most of the time generating stuttering and lag specially the mouse and keyboard.

I wanted to put my desktop somewhere else, like on top of a side table or anywhere away from the tv, but I can't find much information about transmitting hdmi video and audio wirelessly. I'm not moving my tv nor my desktop, I don't need those super expensive transmitters for video cameras and stuff, I just thought there should be like 2 hdmi dongles wich you'd connect like a cable into the video card and the tv, but I found nothing. the only stuff I find is like chromecast, that only sends media from mobile devices into the tv, but it's useless when you want to send the whole video output from your desktop.

so, any clues if there's such a thing?

They make 'em, but it's pretty much line of sight range - which sounds like it's OK for your application. And the better ones are in the ~$200 range.

I read up on a few different ones before settling on HDMI over CAT6e for my application, but that still uses wires. Google "Wireless HDMI", there are a lot of different products out there.

@icehotshot: chromecast streams only media (videos, photos, etc) and from a phone, not a pc.

I use my tv as my only monitor, I need to send the video output just like connecting a cable from my pc to my tv, except without the cable.

@GnarlyCharlie: that's probably it. unfortunately it's a little pricier than I expected and also bigger, but should work, thanks.

You are incorrect.

You can stream your desktop directly to your TV with chromecast. Just google it if you don't believe me.

Although whether you use the Nyrius or Chromecast, neither will be as good as an actual cable. You may see input lag etc since it is wireless.

Thanks. Just looked it up and indeed it works as you mentioned. Unfortunately it's still not as good as a cable or a HDMI transmitter/receber, and apparently it keeps a bar on your screen as if it was some sort of remote desktop app (probably compresses vídeo output aswell) but still looks promising for something wifi.
