Just a 360 rad with push/pull. I used kryonaut on the gpu instead of EK's tim.

What you guys think?

Thanks
yes absolutely change for the Gaming X if they cost the same

if I could freely choose any custom 1080 outside of the highest-end stuff like Classy, Kingpin, Lightning etc. .. then I'd choose Gaming X

Anyone have any experience with the Zotac 1080 Amp? I just caught them in stock on newegg, and ordered it. I can't really find any reviews or videos on it since they all focus on the Extreme version. I'v never bought a Zotac product before and have no idea what to expect from them. Since all 1080's overclock about the same, I just want something cool and quiet and this looks like it should do.

Official website LINK

Also, still in stock on Newegg for $640 if you want one! LINK

Is it really that much better than the EVGA FTW card?

Cooler wise afaik, yes. Component wise the FTW may be superior, though there's no easy way to find the quality of caps/chokes used. The op was asking about the SC vs the Gaming X, the FTW has a larger cooler and should perform better than the standard ACX 3.0.

I havent seen extensive reviews on FTWs cooler tbh, but I cant imagine it being better then Gaming X which already beats Strix and G1 by a bit ..

and on the other hand there have been 2 (I think ?) reports now of FTW failing to achieve 2050-2100 OC which virtually all other cards can do ...

and between ACX 3.0 vs Gaming X its an absolute no brainer

Yeah I used EKs tim. I have 480 rad and 360 rad with just pull. Is your cpu also in your loop? What kind of pump are you running? Feels like I did something wrong and TIM shouldn't make that big of a dif considering my rad space.

Hmm, what rads are they, what pump are you using and how fast is the pump going? obviously pump speed makes a difference if the coolant is flowing too slowly and you fans are too low.

360 rad is EK XE 60mm, and the 480 (x2 240s) are EK PE 40mm. Pump is an ek ddc 3.1 @ 3k RPMs, which is not adjustable. And i'm just running EKs clear coolant. Soft hoses, no 90s. I live in england and theres no AC, idk how much that plays a role.
