Thank you. Will be a while yet (obviously, as they haven't been released yet).

Are you saying that given the actual design and production of the GP104, that basically ALL cards will be the same? Less of a lottery than previous GPU's?

On a separate note, I LOVE Houston. Only got to visit for a few weeks, but fell in love with the place.

Wish I could pack up and come over to live there.

Cheers

What kind of load? Fans?

I'm about to fire up my 6700k and 1080 under water. I went with 2x 240mm but thought about going with a single 240mm. Guess I won't have to worry about noise.

At this point, yes. Unless some breakthrough happens, it looks like an even more locked down Maxwell where most GPUs were able to do the same core/memory clocks.

Hopefully you get to come back to Houston sooner than later thumb.gif

Less noise is best noise wink.gif

Running an i7-6700k on 2x240 with fans running at 600 rpm and soon I'll be running two FTWs on two 360. Highly overkill, but I like a silent loop. The watertemp on the cpu loop after 1 hour of P95 small was 27 (24 ambient) and highest recorded cpu Temp at 4.7/1.34 was 47.

Ontopic: seems that with standard bios water is doing little for overclocking, is this what you guys see at the moment as well?

Yes, no crazy overclocks on stock bios but water keeps it more consistent due to low temps. Good news is there is a lot of headroom when these cards are only hitting 40ish under load on water.

im using some swiftech fans that came off a swiftech h220x , the rig is silent even when gaming my CPU is also delidded and overclocked to 4.8

its not watercooled by the swiftech h220x though, EK D5

Temps are common with stock FE fan profile, the target temp is 83 degrees so the temps will end up a few degrees around that sort of figure by default and manage the boost accordingly. If your worried and or want to raise the boost, manually set up a fan profile. IMO these cards are slightly more quiet compared to prior reference blowers, so higher fan % is more tolerable.

Hopefylly then with custom bios and a higher PT / volt Will give us maybe 23-2400?

Yeah based on what I'm reading from LN2 results I think we can expect water to top out around 2300, maybe 2400 with custom vbios.
