So now that the ftw edition is more like ftl, should I wait for the classified instead? (kingpin is probably going to come out in 6 months if not more so **** waiting for that)

I haven't been reading of any OC advantages from any of the custom boards weather it has 10+2 phase, dual 8-pin power, or custom PCB. So my decision was just to go with a GPU that has a decent cooler for the price range you want.

I really wanted the MSI Gaming X, but I'm not bothering with paying $720 when I was able to get the Zotac AMP for $640 shipped. Saved $80 and it will likely OC all the same.

Hey guys; just finished installing the g10 on my 1080.

First thing: you cannot keep the oem backplate on the card, as the backplate must screw into the stock cooler portion. I don't know why people told me that I can.

Secondly...I am getting 32c full load, in heaven benchmark. Unbelievable! Idle temps at 25C.

I also gained 50mhz for my max stable OC. Cant wait for bios mods for this card...there is so much head room, in terms of temps.

Thanks. I am using the NZXT Kraken x41. Very pleased with it...I had it since it first came out, and used it on my crossfire 290 setup. I knew if it kept those cards cool, cooling a 1080 would be a piece of cake.

Hi .

Is anybody did a test with the new HB SLI bridge ?

It increases performances or not ?

Thanks in advance .

My FE 1080 also kind of walled just a tad over 2,1GHz on stock cooler, but it couldn't hold if for long anyway.
Watercooling seems to help reaching a few more MHz but it's not really a game changer.
It just helps with freq stability as long as your card isn't hitting too far over the power limit.

Got it to pass Heaven Benchmark at 2176 MHz flat playing with the custom curve tool in Precision X
(with stock MEM though)
