That same one person posted on EVGA and nvidia i wouldn't be so quick to judge. If there are no scaling issues i wouldn't expect to see improvements.

There are times usage drops in particular games that could be due to bandwidth limits and this could help IDK Also SLI with 1080 in doom in a joke but seems fine with older gen cards supposedly its bandwidth issue.

Im not holding breath though TBH but still hope. Ill judge when i get it installed on my own system. **** people still say SLI micro stutter and i never have this problem so i would take what people say with grain of salt when it comes to SLI

one vs 2 single sli bridge...yes it help scaling

Posted on [H]ardForum already, and while for the most part, I don't notice much difference when it comes to average framerate, I am noticing a higher max framerate @ 4k. Too much could be involved though which could account for that though. Maybe there might be a difference in VR or DX12, but I don't have anything really to test those two.

Also, few posts up. My HB bridge is here as well.

according to gamer nexus:

2x floppy bridges dont equal an LED or HB bridge. as far as micro stutter, it used to be an issue when i didnt have g sync and had sli'd 770s, but now with gsync sli'd 1080s its pretty much eliminated. at least for me.

First thing: you cannot keep the oem backplate on the card, as the backplate must screw into the stock cooler portion. I don't know why people told me that I can.

Secondly...I am getting 32c full load, in heaven benchmark. Unbelievable! Idle temps at 25C.

I also gained 50mhz for my max stable OC. Cant wait for bios mods for this card...there is so much head room, in terms of temps.

Probably depends on the backplate, fits perfectly fine on my g1 1080

I never said it was equal to anything but it improved his usage so its pretty obvious HB isn't a gimmick. Pascal requires both sides to be populated for high bandwidth. Pref tech only used single channel and PCIE did the rest.

Also gsync fixing your stutter prove your stutter wasn't SLI related. It was vsync stutter from not keeping frames matched with your static refresh rate.

Like i said take ^peoples^ comments when it comes to SLI with grain of salt.

yeah, i never said u said or didnt say anything, i was only contributing to the discussion. i didnt say gsync fixed micro stutter i just said that now with gsync and 1080s i dont notice any micro stutter like i did before, at least for me, yes, take with a grain of sailt, because its my opinion which is based on my build and my experiences, duh.

Gotcha sorry for that. Hard to tell sometimes where people are going with post.
Anytime i mention SLI and no stutter everyone jumps down my throat.

Not as far as I can tell yet.

Also, the nvidia bridge does have an led after all. I like this strip better then the logo.

GPU usage seems the same in some quick a-b testing of witcher 3. The new HB bridge and 2 x ribbons seem to produce nearly identical gpu usage. Will try to post results from more games if I have the time.

Edit 2 - Tested Shadows of Mordor, which nvidia was showing off the new HB bridge with. Results are exactly the same as the witcher above. Same exact gpu usage. Both felt very smooth. So if there is any difference, it could be only in frame time variance, but unfortunately I don't have the equipment to test that.
