any Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme owner here ? I heard about issue of QC that fan hitting the X-bar frame in front of it and coil whine. Do you have that problems ? or just minority ?

Thank you in advance

According to Newegg's reviews: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125873&cm_re=xtreme_1080-_-14-125-873-_-Product there should be some?

12.97%

1080, new drivers... no bios tweaks.....

It's actually 14,91%. smile.gif Comparing graphics only. Which brings us to questions:
- how noisy and hot is 1080 and what model cooling it is?
- how much change do you actually feel in real use? (I presume little to none, but ymmv.

Again to get around power you need to solder 3 x 10 ohm resistors on the caps and it will remove the power cap.

Already have proven it. Doing the shunts doesn't do anything and can actually hurt performance.

But there is still somekind of Limit in place...

This would not be possible without it (you can apply any clock you want, you only get <5950) ... but it is not stable at all... max is still 2126 like before...

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8774921

If you use the curve, you get Perf-Caps, if you use Offset no Perf caps... In GPUz. But you cannot apply more voltage, without the curve...

I do not lose performance, only if i modify the curve... and this happens, with and without shunt mod...

Try a kingpin at 1500 with Samsung mem and the performance will be even higher.

Why 1080 can't beat Kingpin .. it needs 2800mhz to try to beat our LN2 clocks.

In fact, if you shunt your card, it will increase its Voltage, to keep, the clock stable, at higher Temps/Load... this starts at 1.043 and goes up to 1.075 if you open the Voltage-Slider.

Ya, I heard some owners reporting issues. Although, it probably isn't hard to slightly bend it to make it not touch. Close tolerances between fan blades and shroud increase efficiency.

If your gonna claim that it eorks.. people need to start posting GPUz and some scores with screenshots.. voltage control is locked
So don't believe anything unless you attach a multimeter.
