Again shunt mod doesn't do anything as I have said multiple times.. did you actually solder or use clu?

Even if you did its not gonna help any.

Adding the resistors to the caps is what helps power.. already proved it by benching 2500 plus on 1080 on LN2.

Shunting will just limit it you and does nothing to help power all the way.. if you have 1 or 2 of the shunts it can lower it a bit.. but not what you need to get the best possible clocks even on air.

Post some GPUz screenshot with scores.. use a benchmark.. that way you can actually gauge if your getting more performance out of the clocks.. I see countless guys on these forums saying they clock so high.. but really their performance is garbage.

Instead of hitting the power limit at 108% is now maxes out around 101%. This did not help getting additional OC room though, simply stop throttle. For me it was 3x resistors and I put CLU over. Using the pencil method did not work for me this time. For reference I am using a EK thermosphere waterblock with a small 120mm fan on the vrm. The unloaded temps are reading 25C and loaded up to 32C ish. I would assume any increase in voltage from the current max of 1.08v would hit this power limit very quickly.

hey Marc, thanks for posting your results... +1

Ultra @ 2113/5599 +203/+595 i did it 1 time before i started the Stresstest... http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12372223

10 minutes...

the Frames drop slightly over time but this is related to the heat, you can also see, it starts @ 1.05 and goes up to 1.075...

and here is the File...

Ultra-Stress.zip 408k .zip file

And if you truly want it, i can run it again, for your GPUz screen

Try it, a founders would drop to 2000 or lower in a Minute... and the Frames get worse...

If I run this @ Extreme the Frames are the same and the Temp stays @ 42°C

Can't really see your stuff.. I want to see your power in gpuz.

By doing the 10 ohm on the caps you remove all.. which could give you higher results. Because with just shunts you will be limited.

Which mod did you do?

Did you solder.. use CLU? Using solder when I did the 3 resistors.. if would drop the locked clocks.
If you only short 2 of the resistors it will drop power a little bit.. but not much and depending on how you clocked memory would also effect score.

Why I want to see a gpuz screenshot.

I had 3 shunts with CLU, but i removed it from 2 of them today... now only the one on the 8 Pin is modded...

brb...

Ahh ok.. makes sense.. why your power is only going down a little bit. But you should be pretty close to the cap

Also can you run FSE instead of FSU.

I can tell exactly how your performance is with that... instead of FSU.

So don't believe anything unless you attach a multimeter.

Hasn't it been said that voltage increase, like power delivery improvements don't help due to the fact that chips simply can't take more? Kingpin Tin said so if I recall correctly?

Here you go... I ran Extreme this time... because i hate to hear the coils squeal like hell biggrin.gif

I'm definitely enjoying my card from a raw power perspective, but Nvidia really seems to have sucked all the fun out of playing with the tech alongside such restrictive bios and boost 3.0. I've never been so bored with a GPU before rolleyes.gif
