I have an Aqua Computer block for my R9 290X, looks the same as this one. It is a very heavy water block, much heavier than the EK blocks.

Exactly. And the active cooling backplate is also nice!
I had it on my 295X2 and the card was soooo cool.

The only problem is, they dont seem to be doign blocks for aib cards. I'm planning on getting evga 1080 FTW! thumb.gif

This card should be the best you can get air cooled wise.
Yeah about 53-54c. It would be a wise decision to redo the stock tim.

So it seems can't run the HB with my CPU over clocked to 4.7.
This overclock has been stable for 3 years. I don't get a crash but the refresh rate drops to 59hz on my monitor.

Ran it fine with a 6700k @ 4.8. 165hz across 5 displays and no crashes.

Think its somewhere between the 3930k being an older gen CPU, running 2133 ram and forcing PCI-E 3.
No mater the volts i through at it the issue is still there.
The 4.7 CPU overclock is stable at -0.010 offset.

So just ruuning one sli ribbon atm, would like to sort it out though..

This is where playing with the voltage curve on AfterBurner got my EVGA FE with stock bios on Heaven Extreme.
But can't hold theses clocks constantly, thanks to this ridiculous power limit restriction : I'm getting a better score at 2100 flat...
Really deserves a custom bios!

These 1080 cards are a beast! Really need a custom BIOS though, clearly power limited one of my cards is bouncing off the 120% power limit. It's really looking like a single 8-pin isn't enough for these cards. Granted I'd hope with a custom BIOS I can squeeze some additional juice from 8-pin maybe close to 170-175W? All I want is clocks that stay stable over 2Ghz, currently they bounce up and down quite a bit.

Both cards sitting around 1.02v to 1.06v fluctuates a bit, clocks sit between 2000Mhz to 2063Mhz. Tried to push higher than +100Mhz offset and get a driver crash. Memory had no problems pushing +500Mhz for 11Ghz! I tried messing with the Clock/Voltage curve editor but didn't seem to do anything they just ran at stock clocks when I tried the curve option.

[edit]
Looks like I need to do more testing I think my memory overclock is too high.. got corrupted textures after gaming for about ~20-25 minutes.
