Owned a FuryX for under 30 days and today was the day I encountered one issue too many.. easily the worst card i've owned since the x1950 . Anyone claiming AMD is on top of their drivers is full of BS.

Anyway, sold the Fury on ebay, 1080 acquired biggrin.gif Went down to my local retailer (MSY) and they had this in stock ready to go.

Will be interesting to see its speed out of the box and what I can OC to, exciting times

I'm much in the same boat, looking to ditch these Furys for a 1080 biggrin.gif

Gainward? Never really heard of them. I'm still on my 770. I'm just waiting for the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW to be back in stock.

Gainward is big in Europe and Asia, they make good cards, and are usually the cheapest of all AIB's.

Palit/Gainward actually have one of the most effective 1080/1070 cooler designs atm (2.5/3 slots). It's only that they seem to have coil whine more often than more established brands and their warranty is not that great (2 years and u have to contact the seller instead of RMA through them directly).

Apparently the Phantom is one of the better custom 1080's.. custom pcb and has a 6pin+8pin . could only really find one review but if you are interested - http://www.hardwareunboxed.com/gainward-gtx-1080-phoenix-glh-review-best-board-partner-1080/

Card looks seriously impressive out of the box and the quality seems very good. Just need to figure out how to change the color of the LED on it now biggrin.gif

Last post in case this is of use for anyone

Out of the box untweaked this card runs at 1911mhz after 15min of Valley

Setting power to 120% and adding +210mhz core clock , I'm getting a stable 2064mhz - no voltage added. Card starts at 2114 and drops to 2064 after 15min. 69deg and is silent... possibly the quietest overclocked card I have ever owned

Recommended !

Thanks for your experience, I'm now leaning even more towards that card biggrin.gif
