(edit) 2150 is too high.. 2100 is just right @ 1.15v with 1400 MHz memory. I guess I didnt strike the OC lottery with a 2300 capable unit

I agree 1.15v seems to be a sweet spot. My 1080 evga fe did just 2038mhz. But with this bios i could get an extra 100 mhz out of it. Adding more volt after 1.15v just made the card unstable even at lower clock speed.

How do I limit it to 1.15v?

Huge upgrade from radeon 290. Didnt have much time with it but tested crysis 3 and Doom so far, highest stable oc is 2114 with no voltage increase, custom fan profile set and card doesnt go over 50c during gaming, power target stays mostly around 80%. Yeah im in heaven right now 😎

I've ordered one yesterday as well, that's quite a nice rocking newest monster oc "out of the box" video card, congrats mate thumb.gifcheers.gif
Hope I'm not gonna get any less than yours biggrin.gif

And also,

Use msi a:b and that graph overclocking way. And make sure that the highest point is at 1150v and just match that to whatever mhz you need.

msigraph2.jpg

Like here for exemple you can see I went got 2062mhz at 1.150v
You can lower every "Point" by shift + click any Point and pull them down abit, then just pull the one you need, in this exemple 1150 up to the mhz you need. In this exemple 2062mhz.

It says -14 here because the strix xoc bios is default 2088mhz. Once you go above 2088mhz it will start saying + instead.

i think I found my zotac FE sweet spot, I'm able to get 1.093v on the stock bios and max for me is 2126/5400

Yeah i seen that to. Something is going on with the asus bios making it unstable at 1.2v I think if you cant hit 1.2 on that bios you might clock higher with the stock bios after we can up the tdp.

Water but for some reason the strrix bios can clock higher but needs more voltage to be stable at lower clocks.

Got my hands on two cards; one is a plain EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 ACX 3.0, and the other one is an MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC

I'm running both at 2000MHz core, 11008MHz memory, 1.043v on the EVGA and 0.981v on the MSI

Cooled by air, not sure if I'll take the plunge on water cooling these. I'm considering putting them in my girlfriend's computer once "1080 Ti"/"Titan P" hits, and slap some waterblocks on those instead.
