Acually, TitanX bios can be modded to request 1.274V (that's the max, even if the bios has 1.312V set). A bios setting of 1.274V will run in the 1.26 range under load when measured from the back on the PCB with a DMM (~ 10mV droop).
^^ This. Really helps with folks decision processes, and I find our results more "reliable" than many review sites. thumb.gif
Yes! With an EVBOT you can ramp up the voltage on a 980Ti kingpin... can help some cards, but not all. Generally Maxwell does not scale with high voltage.

I've been running my TXs at 1.274V (cyclops3 bios, measured in the 1.26 range depending on the load)) since near launch. Still going strong. I certainly tried lower voltages while making the cyclop3 bios mod of cyclops original bios and with my two cards it was the best compromise with one 64% and one 76% card. blinksmiley.gif

I was talking about the 1080, not the Titan X.

You guys think it will be beneficial to get a waterblock overclocking wise? thinking about getting one but cant justify it on aesthetics and sound alone.

EK blocks here.. now if some cards would show up. I'm kicking myself for picking ground from Newegg. I did pick overnight for the cards from amazon.. but.. *sigh* those 4 cards changed from "come today by 8pm" to.. "got me. I don't know when these cards are going to ship"

the 4 newegg cards come on thrusday. I DID pick overnight for the 6950x (whenever that ships tongue.gif )

Here are some of my benchmark results for the 1080 SLI. All benchmarks except the 3DMARK benchmarks were run in 3440*1440 using the PC in my signature. As for game settings, only presets were used, no manual maxing of settings. The 1080's were run on stock settings (even the fan profile), whereas the 780Ti's were slightly overclocked. All reference models on air. All benchmarks were performed using this SLI bridge.

On AVERAGE, the 1080 SLI setup was 1.57 times faster than the 780 Ti setup. Especially for the Unigine benchmarks I find the results relatively disappointing. Given the reviews I've seen I expected closer to 2x the performance of the 780Ti's. I haven't performed any test without SLI yet (except the Tomb Raider DX12 test, obviously), so I can't really say anything reasonable regarding scaling yet.

Yah that was overclocked benchmark.. I don't have my cards anymore otherwise I'd run them through a new benchmark.

i7-6700K @ 4.6Ghz
980Ti SLI @ ~1460Mhz

Yeah newegg always gets new products in their California warehouse first. If they use UPS ground its like 7 business days across country. I learned that lesson. I got tracking this morning for my card. I missed the friday cut off mad.gif

Also seems like Amazon always over sells and pushes dates back. I would rather f5 newegg all day than preorder from amazon.

Kepler cards were strong in unigine benchmarks. I remember when the 980 first launched, gains were not impressive out the gate. FS ultra is double.. where it counts IMO.

hrmm.. i wonder if the EK block will fit this (it isn't listed on EK's site.. but that could be that EK doesn't list cards that aren't yet.. and they didn't update..)

*update: i don't think so. blah to full blocks. I don't care about the see thru parts of it, but that would cause a problem on the ftw cards.
