Which is great but I am getting lower benchmark scores and FPS in Heaven and Firestrike. I tested my card using the XOC bios at different voltages and core freq. but I could never reach or beat my firestrike score of 20135 on my stock bios with my max clocks of 2139MHz core and 5580MHz on the memory.

I even tested the XOC bios using the same clocks and volts I used with my stock bios and could not reach or even get close to my top score of 20135 in firestrike. I kept getting a score of 19610 and I noticed my FPS was allot lower Haven. I tried reinstalling drivers and XOC bios and same thing. I do not know what is going on but the XOC bios is no good on my card.

While I can push my core super high and its stable with no artifacting nor driver crashing it is not any good since I am losing FPS and getting lowers scores in 3dmark. I went ahead and flashed my stock bios back and tested and sure enough got my +20000 score in firestrike. I highly recommend you guys test the XOC bios and compare with your stock bios and make sure you are getting higher FPS and high scores in benchmarks.

Yeah that bios is typical asus. Toss up some numbers to distract you from the drop in stuff that counts. Asus lovers im sorry but after the Sabertooth i had everything asus i have got has been junk. Like my 970 strix that could not overclock because asus put a bios on it that crippled the card so it could not be overclocked at all compaired to a g1 or other brands.

From what i seen the only good thing is the tdp is unlocked in that bios. Clocks with that bios take more voltage then others to be stable and you get a good fps hit when using it.

For all you with i5's i trested a gtx 1080 fe with a crap clocking 4690k and it ran nice. 25,000 gpu score.http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12757481

We really need a better bios. Just bump the tdp to 150 or 200%

same here, better overclocking with the xoc bios worse performance than stock bios (using an FE card)

Thanks for letting us know thought I might be the only one that experienced it. If more people are having the same issue then I see no point in using this bios. Yea you can hit higher overclocks but you don't get any benifits from it in fact you get worse proformance than your stock bios.

Interesting.

I take it that you must have the EVGA FE card, as Precision XOC will not work properly with the likes of other non-branded FE cards?, like my PNY variant. Regardless. I'm kinda regretting getting rid of my 980ti also, as there is not much margin for error on the 1080, with, or without 8+6 input, it really don't seem to matter. EK block fitted here also, but now I'm wondering if there was any need to do so?
