I believe, unless they've changed their mind, that EK will not be making full cover blocks for EVGA non-reference cards.

Waterblock came in today from EK thumb.gif

Now im just waiting for the EK backplate for the card, hopefully it will come on thursday, so i can hook it up to the loop smile.gif
The backplate on the picture is another custom one, but i think im gonna end up using the EK one that is all black and might (?) add some passive cooling to the card

You can't use the blackplate that came with the card? ie, do i have to order backplates now? smile.gif

EDIT:
from EK's site:
Quote:
NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1080 factory backplate is not compatible with this water block!
•New NVIDIA® SLI HB bridges are not compatible with this water block. You can still use regular SLI bridge that comes with every SLI supported motherboard.

I think the "original" backplate will work just fine, i just find the Nvidia backplate pretty ugly and wanted something that looked abit better smile.gif
The EK backplate is black with no weird lines or anything on it, i think that looks alot better then the Nvidia one thumb.gif

Apparently the EK Block isn't compatible with the HB SLI Bridge.
