My FTW can loop valley/heaven for hours at +99 on core (2050-2088mhz) but will artifact and then crash at +100(2088-2113mhz).cant make it through a loop. My question is you guys think when a block comes out for it it will get over that bump? Or should I sell it and go back to my FE with blocks

I have the same card and have had the exact same experience. Maybe because it's because I don't understand the whole curve thing.

When testing them individually, I was able to hit these offsets stable, but only individually. Whenever I added them together on a curve I instantly got a crash:

1.093v +200
1.081v +200
1.075v +175
1.062v +175
1.050v +200
1.046v +150
1.031v +150
1.025v +150
1.012v +150
1.000v +175
0.993v +175
0.981v +200
0.975v +200
0.962v +200

He pretty much sums up what everyone's been seeing.

So, you keep the same curve and just manually (in Precision X) move just one of these points?

Yup, most of the custom PCBs just seems to change it's out of the box clocks and do next to nothing for additional headroom.

I set the curve to manual with a +0 offset on all points, and test just one single voltage with an offset at a time. I reset each point that I test back to zero before testing the next. I get really impressive results from each point individually, but they don't seem to work well together when I put them each at their max stable voltage that I tested. I'm so confused as to why they work well as a single offset, but become very unstable as part of an offset curve. Look at my pictures in my post a page back to see what I am talking about. You may have to zoom in to see where I selected the 1.05v offset by itself.

Can somebody more knowledgeable tell me what the major differences are between:

GIGABYTE 1080 G1 GAMING - $650

and

GIGABYTE 1080 XTREME GAMING - $700

xtreme gaming only gets 3-6 more FPS than g1 gaming as far as performance goes, i'm pretty sure temps are identical.... so what justifies the extra $50 for the xtreme gaming edition?

Different PCB with better components on the XTREME Gaming. Better cooler on the XTREME Gaming, typically a better overclocker than the G1 Gaming I'd wager (I typically see > 2100 MHz from users with the XTREME Gaming but not with the G1 Gaming).

The G1 Gaming also has loads of coil whine complaints.

both cards have 3 windforce fans, how is it much of better cooling?
both have LED's
both have back plates

if xtreme gaming gets > 2100 MHz then what does G1 gaming get? > 2060 ???

i mean look how close these #'s are

g1 gaming

Core Clock 1721 MHz in OC Mode 1695 MHz in Gaming Mode
Boost Clock 1860 MHz in OC Mode 1835 MHz in Gaming Mode

xtreme gaming:

Boost: 1936 MHz / Base: 1784 MHz in OC mode
Boost: 1898 MHz / Base: 1759 MHz in Gaming mode

i mean the only justification for that $50 on the xtreme gaming edition is for the VR link, SLI bridge, mouse pad, power cable, and other accessories that come with it
