Ended up flashing the Gigabyte Xtreme BIOS on my G1 Gaming card under full water (EK w/ backplate) and did a bit more tweaking.

I had done some prelim tests yesterday sitting comfortably at 2114 MHz in Heaven, but some further testing showed issues holding the number. Flashed the Xtreme BIOS for a higher power limit (150% from 108%), upped the voltage a bit (50% overage for 1.075v total core volts), and ran some more tests. Now showing 100% rock solid at 2114 MHz, zero throttling for any reason.

For giggles, here's the new setup...

Here was the old...

Re: The 1080 Hybrid kit. The only advice I can give is pay attention where you pull the screws from. Even then, I was unable to get the plastic back plate back on (but seriously, I don't care)

My 1080 Hybrid FE now runs at 43c under load at 2139ghz.

Doesn't work that way without removing the power limit, which is only available by bridging the three resistors on the PCB smile.gif

Honestly, it's a stupid simple mod that is very hard to screw up if you're worried about that sort of thing.

Im not limited by PL im limited by voltage.
core 2126 volt@ 1.0930Mv and i never hit the 120% powerlimit, though i could use more voltage.
So bridging rs1.2.3 doesnt help my voltage now does it ?

The same for me, I have the Shunt mod, I just need an FE BIOS with 1.24V max Vcore (higher and the GPU gets problems)!
