But you cant beat a 50% of overclock vs a barely 30-35% that we are getting on a 1080 as avg.

Not only that, a 980TI with a 50% of overclock is a beast the 1080 actually you are not getting the profits the higher you go because it scales bad with it.

I actually got some decent gains by overclocking my GTX 1080 to 2063 MHz (typical, will probably be higher in the winter). I had an MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning previously which I ran at 1488, decent upgrade but only because I was able to sell the 980 Ti and some other stuff that I don't use.

We should really wait for BIOS tools before jumping the ship thumb.gif Personally 35% increase is more than satisfying . Anything over makes less sense and probably not game stable rolleyes.gif
Had 1544 for 24/7 on 980 did benchmarking @ 1588 but not for gaming .

I went through 3 980's in a vain attempt to try to get a 1600mhz clocker. No dice.

My ACX 2.0 was the best of the bunch at 1568mhz/8000mhz. Nothing I did would get me 1600mhz. Not a waterblock, voltmods... nothing. Lol.

So close... lol. Mine was the same at 1600mhz. It would game or bench for about 2-5 minutes then crash no matter what.

I loved my 980. Best card I've owned until the 1080 rolled along. I didn't really miss out on the 980ti as I used 1080p then.

If/Once the BIOS tool is out ill try to do a better job with the 1080 , just not sure if EVGA aio is the way to go, may take tht 980 apart and pit it back together as stock just to grab the Bracket from the pump , my idea was H90 .

Same stuff i did with my 1080 im not using the glass tho but the plate and everything managed to flush no problems so i can have gpu/cpu on same loop instead of an aio..
In the beginning i had the evga hybrid kit on it then decided to go back to custom water. Long story short i had to hard mod the card XD

I might do a custom Wall Mount Case with custom loop sometime, as of now i'm done spending money on things i have no time to enjoy .
