That is the way its been for every graphics card ever released since forever. Always always always set up a custom fan curve, even if the temps are passable you can always lower your temps by doing this giving your gpu a longer life, overclocked or not. thumb.gif

Currently my 1080 is hooked up to the pse with one cable that splits into 2 pcie8. Should I hook it up with two different cables so that it uses 2 rails instead of 1?

Depends on how hard your hitting that 12 volt rail. If you got a ton of stuff hooked up then yeah. If not then its fine unless you have a pretty weak PSU.

You are looking for a stable 2100 core clock. If you can hit that then you are above average.
