Damn. MSI gaming X and ASUS STRIX is not in store, and they don't know when it will be either...

Wondering if I should go for a FE, then a WB later down the road when I can afford it?

Thoughts? Does the custom cards OC better?

No Fe's are the top clockers on water.

That's odd. That bios is my daily driver on a nvidia fe. I wounded why it works on mine but not yours. I have seen nvflash freeze up a few times mid flash and I had to reflash it before I rebooted.

When i enter a game the both cards sometimes do not boost equal, now i`m playing Hitman and one card is bossting to 2089 and the second card is at stock, 1759...

After sometimes or when the GPu usage is more intense the card goes to 2089 like the other one, but i loose some FPS untill this happens

I was looking and realized the the second card only goes up in the clock when the usage passes someting about 50%, but in the old series like 980TI when i launched the game the cards was always with the same clock no matter what usage

I`m using AB 4.3 beta 4

Is it normal in the new Boost 3.0 and Pascal? Any way to make both cards always boots the same?

I`m using max performance profile at Nvidia control pannel

Anyone?

Only a custom bios removed that limit.. Asus Strixx OC bios to be precise.
That's not how it works. Shorting the resistors tells the hardware power limiter on the PCB that the card is using less power. As long as the card is in 3D mode and is not limited by temperature or voltage limits in the BIOS, then the card will continue to boost up and up.

Could possibly saved a headache if you used a different Display Port.

Luckily I didn't have to drain my loop. Got the PC to boot from another card in the lower pci-E slot so I could flash back. I tried the bios again later on, the Asus XOC in that post, with the DP cable in another spot and it worked without issue.

I'm a bit late as usual, but my two cards don't always boost the same, but from what I've seen when I can be bothered to look up at my OSD is that they're within 50Mhz of each other. The only time I see one of them drop lower is when I'm in a game that is using the second card at 70% compared to the first card at 95+%. However, I have not seen any performance drops from this.

What game(s) specifically?
What GPUs do you have exactly?
Are the BIOS' the same in GPU-z and do you have them linked in MSI AB?

I use Gelid Extreme, performs better than AS5. You wouldn't want AS5 on a GPU, though, if you want Arctic Silver you want to use Ceramique instead, as it is not capacitive, which can cause issues.
