Luckily I didn't have to drain my loop. Got the PC to boot from another card in the lower pci-E slot so I could flash back. I tried the bios again later on, the Asus XOC in that post, with the DP cable in another spot and it worked without issue.

I remembered that about the display ports, I tried and none of them worked. Then I used my sons 970 in a lower slot to try and flash but the only way I could get into windows was with the nv driver installed and with it installed I couldnt flash, and when I tried to disable the driver (or 970 in device manager) I got a black screen. So after about 2 hrs I gave up (trying to flash blind after hitting disable in the device manager lol) still didn't get the famous nvflash "beeps" so I shut her down and drained, switched cards booted and low and behold the blind flash I did before the drain worked??? wth... no beeps but it flashed so I drained for nothing. sorry I'm just rambling writing this, it's 6am here.

on the core it's no issue, I wouldn't use it for the ram or anything else though

Enable your onboard when your flashing. Bad flash plug the HDMI into your onboard then boot and flash back.

Still trying to figure out what went wrong. That was the same bios I been running for a few days now without issue. The only diff. is you have a zotac fe and I have a nvidia fe but they are the same card so it must of been a nvflash issue

Can you help me with some 1080 SLI issue?

When i enter a game the both cards sometimes do not boost equal, now i`m playing Hitman and one card is bossting to 2089 and the second card is at stock, 1759...

After sometimes or when the GPu usage is more intense the card goes to 2089 like the other one, but i loose some FPS untill this happens

I was looking and realized the the second card only goes up in the clock when the usage passes someting about 50%, but in the old series like 980TI when i launched the game the cards was always with the same clock no matter what usage

I`m using AB 4.3 beta 4

Is it normal in the new Boost 3.0 and Pascal? Any way to make both cards always boots the same?

I`m using max performance profile at Nvidia control pannel

I get the same thing here sometimes if my GPU Usage % is below 50% on both cards.. the clockspeeds on the 2nd card (lower one) will drop maybe 150-200Mhz below the primary card.

WIth GPU Boost 3.0 the clockspeeds can vary based on GPU load, if your not at high load clocks will lower. I've especially seen this if I turn on a fps limiter and the GPUs don't need to work as hard. I was seeing this a lot in Fallout 4 as I'm using a 60fps limiter as weird stuff happens in Bethesda's games with high fps.

For games where my GPU load is only at 50% or lower on each I just crank up the MSAA or other settings as you clearly have more GPU power to spare. For example I cranked GTA5 up to 8xMSAA, which looks amazing btw. Now both cards run at 2012-2038Mhz pretty much all the time and load in the 70-95% range on each depending on the area I'm in.

That sucks. Should pick up a cheap gt 710 as a backup for bad flashes. Get one for about $10
