haha I was just about to post this! Seems pretty sweet, especially if you are under water, to see what it will boost too! Obviously it will hit that voltage wall, but it will be interesting to see what kind of numbers you can get.

How do I avoid it crashing while dropping from maximum to medium clocks ?

I have the same issue with witcher 3. Hop into the menu to assign skills, change inventory or look through a vendor and 90% of the time it will crash to desktop. Happens even under no over clock for me, annoying.

Thing about the hardware tdp mod is that its not needed.

This is a founder edition running a modded bios. Game is maxed. 8X MSAA, CMMA,

Your passive aggressive way of telling your opinion on things is annoying, relax.

Arizonian gave me two infractions for calling him out on his behavior. A+ modding bro, give a card owner two infractions and let an agitator who doesn't even own a card skate away scot free. I feel like I am in grammar school all over again.

My graphics score was 21377 on my first Firestrike run and after overclocking I ended up at 23798. I have a feeling my RAM is holding back my system performance as its not allowing me to run it at 2133MHz when I use the XMP profiles. Keeps forcing it @ 1600MHz. I am waiting to have Mushkin RMA my previous much lower timing 1600MHz Redline RAM.

The limiting factor with the 1080's is the low voltage they provide. So far at the max i get 1.093v i can pull 2,215mhz on the core before stability issues give me problems. Its stable but i'll still game at 2,190 just to be sure i wont have any chance of a crash.

The default voltage i seen on some cards top out at 1.062 to 1.093 depending on what card you have. Thew big limiting factor here is the voltage. But to be honest anything over 1.093v you need to be on water its to much for the air coolers because it starts kicking out heat after 1.062v

Well I'll be doing had volt mod to get it to 1.25V + TDP mod...

Can you tell me, what bios is the best for FE? Upload it if you can smile.gif Or.....maybe the best 2 so I can try both..

I got a big list of them. It really all depends. If you are doing the hardware mods go with the Nvidia bios. 86.04.17.00.01. Only improvement you will get off other bio's are higher tdp's but since your doing hardware mods you wont need those.

I'll be volt modding my card soon. Im getting 2 titan x's so im going to hot rod this 1080. I should have my pots on Monday then im just bringing a fluke home from work and i'll do it all. The fluke i have has not been calibrated in a few years so i do not use it for anything i need a accurate measurement on. The pots im using are also single turn 5 x 5 x 2.7 mm so its not to bulky. So it will be a nice clean look
