It's just I've been told mixed answers.

Some say if you're not into OCing gpus it's waste to get an aftermarket card, get a FE
Some say just to get a Partner card with a high factory OC and you're good
And then I've also heard it's silly to think you can get a plug and play card, that you have to have to OC to be able to play all the high end games with decent fps

I don't mind learning how to overclock, just a lot of review sites are saying nvidia isn't giving much OC room in the new cards

Overclocking a graphics card is the easiest way to do it by yourself. Overclocking a CPU is on a whole different level, I can totally understand why people would stay off that but for GPU? Not really since it's so easy to learn and do. At the moment though, there's no point in buying one of the more expensive aftermarket cards since the overclocking abilities are weak to say the least. Grabbing something like the EVGA FTW would probably suffice for most people though.

Kinda weird question though to ask in a forum for enthusiast overclockers. It's called OVERclock.net and not STOCKclock.net thumb.gif

Funny enough I'm on OC net cos I want to OC my cpu haha. But that's because I'm trying to get into editing and would like good rendering times.

I was thinking about risking getting the MSI 1080 gaming Z or just getting the Msi aero OC cos my build has no airflow in the gpu section/htpc

If anyone wanted to see the side by side EK 980, titan x and 1080 blocks.

GOD DAMN NVIDIA! Where is the SLI unlock!?!?!?!?
^ That's a great picture. It's fairly easy to see that the Titan X/980Ti block won't work here but that GTX 980 block looks similar. The VRM/VRAM positions are still off relative to the core though, so that's why a new block is needed.

So has anyone else gotten 4 1080s and "unlocked" 4 way SLI?

I just picked up 2 and want to know how/what to do to make sure I can run 4-way SLI on my UberRig before I buy another 2.

Also, what is the status of the HB bridge?
