My case

If i go to RAM 501+ i have no gains, only down in performance.

+500 for VRAM is the best for me

And +165 fo core, with stock fan FE and this latest drivers.

More than +165 drivers crash

Well let me tell you the other 2 big players Asus and Acer are far from angels themselves. They also don't offer advancement replacement along with shipping to and from for free. Dell offers those perks free of charge and is included in the 3 year warranty.

Didn't the MG279Q and PG279Q both come out under a year after it was first shown?

I think the PG278 was in development hell for a very long time. I'm cautiously optimistic that we may start seeing 4k@120hz at the end of the year and certainly in 2017.

Ran into a weird issue with the 1080s today.

Tried to play BF4. I had to take a call so I was AFK and the server booted me for being AFK for too long. No biggie I thought. But, now the desktop, everything on it, windows in Chrome etc., all moved at a snail's pace - almost like a slideshow. I would try to bring up the task manager but switching windows took a LONG time.

I couldn't even restart the computer - pressing the Windows icon brought the thing up and I pressed Restart but Origin failed to close and everything just moved really slowly.

I had to restart manually and everything's normal. It definitely has something to do with the power states or something with the GPUs - I guess changing the window from the game to the desktop did something where the cards were at 0% usage and everything moved extremely slowly.

Any idea what caused this or how to avoid this in the future?

On the driver to hotfix the dcp issue i am seeing ta bad lag on start up. After a min. it goes away but its very slow for about 2 min. Then its fine.
