Joining the club with a MSI 1080 Gaming (Not X)

Will start to see how far it may go. Not having lots of expectations for what I been reading here

So I finally got around to using 3DMark Time Spy stress test and as many of you would expect, I failed but just barely (96.6%, minimum passing grade is 97%). Somewhat surprising since this overclock performed better in every benchmark and game, including minimum frame rate, although I was alerted to instability last night after a display driver crash during Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason.

So there it is folks, Cryostasis is still the best game for testing GPU overclocks 7 years later. The tech demo benchmark showed no signs of instability either, only playing the game did (and it crashed in under half an hour of playing).

I'm guessing it's my VRAM. Lowered it to +450 (10908 MHz).

Just received my MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X in the mail today! It's been awhile since I've been on these boards but it feels great to be back! I was forced to sell the build in my sig due to financial hardship back in 2012 and I've been gaming on an AlienWare Alpha since last year on a 1080P display. Can't wait to receive the rest of my parts so I can finally play anything I want @ max settings!

This is embarrassing..

My fans on the XE240 rad is not on at all. Must have disconnected them when I changed the power cable from PSU to GPU. (from 1 cable with 8 2 pins to 1 8 pin.

Ok cool i'll test it out later today.

1.075v is pretty disappointing. Thats puts it into the middle of the cards. So it looks like Galaxy and Gigabyte are the only ones who are pushing the volts to the cards. But i'll test it and see how it runs.
