Have no idea. Below 49 would be optimal, but I don't know if a hybrid could keep it that low.

Anyone?

Depends on the usage. I have two hybrids in sli. 3440@100hz keeps the gpu usage at around 60-70%. With my ambient temps of 77c, I'm hovering around 48-49c with both cards clocked at 2088. If both cards are under 100% load, the temps top out around 58c. That's with both cards using corsair SP120 high static pressure fans in push/pull at around 1300 rpm.

Also, the clock throttling starts at 40c, not 49c.

My FTW barely goes over 60c with the fans @ 100%. I have a Corsair Air 540 case with all Noctua 3k fans, I need to setup a sig for my rig, will have to add that to my action item list lol.

I would also switch to the second bios on the FTW, I did not test to be sure, but I know I have mine on the second bios and have the 130% power limit. I also noticed today that there is a major CPU hogging issue with imprecision-X that I do not experience when using afterburner.

Seriously sick of this crap being posted.

Prove it! How about that?

Many, many others would refute your claim. I'm one of them.

I believe Anandtech found it to throttle at 40c? My card does not, however. It throttles at like 45.

Anandtech is a joke.

That's EXACTLY what I was going to say. Throttle temps ARE different between cards.

Simply put, this is the reason why I don't agree with axiumone or Anand. Data or not, my data shows differences. As does yours it seems.

Thx for the reply.

Really? I've always found their reviews to be nice and thorough. Whats wrong with them?

I don't know. I have a knack for knowing reviewers..... never liked La Shimpi.

I feel like there are flaws in his reviews. He used to be better. In his early days. Just like Tom from Tom's Hardware.

They both suck now IMO. For video cards I go to Guru3d. They are the best for GPU reviews. For CPU and RAM reviews I talk to my boys here.

Never an issue. I'd use Anand for SSD reviews or whatever else. GPU? No.

I feel like they're a little n00bish and act like they are capable than more than they actually are. Comes off like that to me anyway.

Have you ever had your FE at 30c to start with? It's just what I see with my hybrid cards. My idle is around 34c, as soon as the temps go over 40c the cards tick down one step. It may very well be dependent on the quality of the chip and vary card to card, I have no idea. Just like most others, I can't wait for the ability to customize the bios and regain control over my cards.
