Hey all, I have a EVGA FTW 1080 on air. I am able to get 2114 core in game, and for the most part it will stay above 2000 all the time, depending on temp / load. usually see like 2047. can run 3dmark and the witcher at these speeds, only place i have issues is with direct X 12 tests, which is weird, where i do need to lower it a little, but all direct x 11 games, run flawlessly at these speeds.

i have the stock bios, but I am interested in trying one that increases TDP, cause mine does shoot quite high. my temps seem in order for air though, usually never see my GPU go over 60c durring firestrike benchmarking. it sits around 77c after paying witcher 3 for a few hours at 2047mhz.

what do you guys think, is it worth it, could i break the 2200mhz barrier?

are there bioses that increase TDP and voltage? whats odd, is i tested a lot of overclocks, and leaving core voltage in afterburner on 0 is actually the most stable for me. does that make sense, I thought adding voltage would add stability, but it seams to take it away?

Has the guy with "wonder bios" shared any info on his results before and after. I understand he doesnt want to share it but wouldnt he want to contribute to these discussions about what pascal can do once its limits are removed.

Have you clicked over to the slave BIOS with the higher TDP?

Nice to know that, thanks! Will use the slave one to overclock it as soon as I get it then. After we get access to BIOS modding it won't matter anymore though.

My FTW never goes over 109% anyways.

no i did not know there was a switch on my card for that. I am pretty sure ive seen it go well above 120 before, and maybe thats my issue? I am +110 core on the stock clocks of the FTW though, and +550 on the memory. I will give this a try! thanks for the heads up.

Not even on heavy benchmarks? Have you tried Firestrike Ultra Stress test? Mine will reach 121% and power throttle.
