Your clock speed drops due to temperature not load percentage.

sry to say but not in my case, ive got FE, with FANS at 100% my temps are 64c max, and my boost clock in 4k is 1889/1911mhz 99% load compared to 1080p 99% load 2025/12mhz

its due to load

It's due to the power limit. I've noticed that at higher resolutions you'll hit the 120% must easier than at lower resolutions. If you're constantly close to 120% the card will downclock regardless of the temperature.

probably u are right, ive tested witcher 3 in 4k, with afterburner overlay, avarage power consumption was 105-115% sometimes hitting but not constant 120%

maybe its that shunt resistor cuz even with 120% PT vrm section is not letting gpu to draw 225wats or afterbuner statitics are not 100% accurate

is it me or does anyone else think the 1080 ti will still be based on GP104? it makes sense to carry on using 8gb ram and leaving the titan x with the ''crazy amount'' of 12gb
therefore they can still price it competitively also after seeing missing parts on the 1070(more missing obv) and 1080 PCB it makes sense that they could maybe add some more cores close to 3k and have it 15-20% faster than the current 1080? & have it 210w tdp?
