You need to need more bandwidth than a soft bridge to actually see change. As far as I think, 4K still doesn't exceed it. Dual soft should be the very same as a HB bridge - it's just cables.

Are you using the Gaming Z bios in your armor card now?

Framerates =/= Frametimes

You should be able to retest and log using MSI AB as you can monitor and log frametimes.

+500 on memory results on more than 1350mhz doesn't it? I'm gettin a total of 11016mhz memory clock.

Anyway, had no luck with the Armor I got. And since it was a "not so official purchase", the 3 year warranty I got with EVGA was the game changer for me.

Luck of the draw. But 1080armor is a great budget option, though. Especially if you plan to put it under water.

And curve gives me a roughly 300 to 400 Point boost with FE Bios it was even more biggrin.gif

This Card drives me kind of crazy with so much unknown factors biggrin.gif:D
you get more performance cuz of no TDP limits not cuz of this bios....
What you have to test is, unlocked TDP FE/zotac etc vs unlocked TDP strix T4. Thenyou will see if theres a difference. But obviously we dont have unlocked TDP FE.

My card has unlocked TDP(FE) as I did the hard mod, and this bios is no good for me. For some ppl it might actually be cuz as I said, it unlocks TDP limits so you will get more performance than with FE bios.

Makes sense right ? wink.gif

I also have an ARMOR. I thought my +500 was stable but then I tried 3DMark Time Spy stress test. Now I'm at +400. Fire Strike Ultra stress test is even worse.

Mine gets way too hot to hit 2114 MHz. 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme and Ultra, and Time Spy, bring it up to a stable 91c due to temp limit. Does yours get this hot in those tests?

I've got a fixed fan speed of 80% when gaming, where it's perfectly capable of keeping the card cool and never bothers me in terms of noise (it's still pretty silent), same noise level of my case fans.
At this speed the card's max. temp is 76degress celsius.

76 is still pretty high though, is this with the stock thermal paste?

Could never hit anything like that with mine. +425 seemed stable, but all it took was a firestrike ultra stress test that it crashed in less than 30 seconds. Tomb Raider had red blinking dots like christmas too. Could never get not even 300 stable. Core clock would temp throttle like crazy here. Could get 2088max and it would go down to 2025. And that's with 100%fan speed, open case, and a huge fan blowing air on it.

At least you get some good clocks and will benefit from watercooling it.

How much does it throttle from the starting clock?
