And no thanks, to NVIDIA for using such ridiculous screws that I don't have a socket anywhere that fits those awful things, and if you aren't careful you can easily strip them with pliars or break off components if using an adjustable wrench. I get why they did it, but EVGA didn't have to resort to such ridiculousness when they designed their backplate. But I guess the NV one is sleeker...mad.gif

I used a socket when removing them. No stress at all. Easy peacy! smile.gif

I think I used a 4 mm socket. I would never have installed a WB (AKa removing the cooler/FE bp) if I had to use pliars or such.

People who are not using the correct too should wait until they got the correct tool. thumb.gif

I just did tests where I tested Curve vs offset in AB.

Tested with FS X

Ok nice.

I completely shorted the left/middle resistor of my 1080AMP! - and partially short the rightmost.

Now the power consumption is extremely low, enabling me 24/7 1.093v!

No, seriously...there must be a catch to it. It's not possible something so simple yields so much benefits like that without having a huge downside. Also, why wouldn't it be already like that by design?

Beqause the power consumption would be higer than intended.

So they cap the card to maintain a low power consumption? Even though the GPU they designed being able to benefit a lot from more power?

That seems to me like designing a ferrari engine and then putting a limiter to it so it doesn't spend too much fuel
