I got my EVGA GTX 1080 FE! I love it so far. I had to turn down the target GPU temp in order to get it down to the temps that I look for, though.

Anyone know when Ansel is expected to release? That was a major selling point for me.

Telling me i have nice score then posting yours you reason wasnt to help..anyways no not angry you at 4.9ghz on CPU
I upgraded from 980s this is huge boost.
Also using old style single floppy bridge ATM so could be bottleneck. Also drivers much more mature for Maxwell than pascal ATM wink.gif

edit

here is someone else 45k score with same specs 5960x 4.7Ghz .

can anyone confirm that

EVGA ACX 3.0 WORKS (6181) WITH A WATERBLOCK?? or only the founders/blower style will be able to get cooled via that route?

I cant decide what to get guys .......
1080 seems to be a bit limited and provides about 10% more performance than 980Ti when both oced.
Also I'm on water and ....its a very high end one and I'm not sure if 1080 can utilize it for it's full potential.

Also the price is about 800£ for EK blocks and Asus Strix 1080(custom pcb)...

When I look at ebay, I can get EK watercooled 980Ti strix/msi gaming(both custom pcb) for 1/2 of the cost.... ~400£.

Having said that I'm not rly sure if spending +100% of money to get 10% more performance is adequate redface.gif

Also, 980Ti utilizes water better than 1080 right ? What sort of clocks can we expect for both cards when run on water <40C temps ?

THanks thumb.gif

Dont see how drivers will help performance since pascal had no ipc improvements. Maybe in certain aaa games but older games i bet you got what you got.

I've been debating the same thing myself....good question.

To add insult to injury I went from one of the best cooled/quietest 980Ti's (Lightning) to this .50 cent piece of crap cooler on the FE making me deaf.

Not a happy man.. Im waiting for the next Titan or Ti,

so only 13% not much really and that loud fan is no good can't play games with it out a headset..

Glad i did not upgrade

Glad i decided against upgrading. At least until the Ti variant comes out.

If I add 2 single sli bridges it won't give me the sli heb performance warning anymore. Dunno if it does anything though. Comming from a Fury X, its loud though to run 1.9-2.0ghz. Needs at least 70% fan to keep temps down. At 2.05ghz it crashes for me. Thats only with 120% and temp target 92c and +175 on the core. Everything lower will hit 90c+. Everything stock and default fan profile it goes all the way down to the base clock. Thats with a slot between the cards. I am running 5k though. That puts up a lot more load then 1440p I noticed.

Time to put them on water when EK releases their sli bridge.
