Originally had a Pascal Titan X in my cart, I just couldn't pull the trigger. My self control didn't win out for a 1080 though. MSI Seahawk EK here as well. Also boosts to about 1970 or so out of the box. Not a huge fan of acrylic threads but EK has done it again. Max temp trying it out tonight was 34 C. Kind of sad to retire my 780 Lightning though. Going to miss that 287% power limit on that beast. biggrin.gif

nice nice, congrats, but I really love the new titan x... I'm not so sure why everyone is afraid of the acrylic threads, I personally prefer the clear, just be careful not to over tighten.. and I really liked the ek/msi logo, really nice touch, but what's with the SN sticker placement? what a hokey spot to put it...

So, how high Classifieds go?
No better or worse than other custom cards with a huge heat sink.

A forum friend got one and it does 2126 without touching VDDC.

Thats a Benchmark on main bios which has 122% PL , CPU 6700K @ 4.2 GHz.

Has anyone done any investigating on the reports that the EVGA FE BIOS seems to be performing/oc'ing better than other FE BIOSes?

My Evga GTX 1080 Founders Edition with a Hybrid mod has been running perfectly well 2139mhz core and 11200mhz memory. So about two weeks ago I, due to stupidity on my part, messed up the cpu socket pins on my RVE and decided to get an Asus X99 Strix Gaming. In doing so I went through the process of reinstalling windows 10. Last weekend I did a dry ice bench session with only my 5930k under dry ice sitting at 5.55ghz on 2 cores and 5.3ghz on all 6 but I was using a fresh installation of Windows 8.1 on another hard drive. All seem to work okay, but I mostly ran some older 3d benchmarks and some 2d benchies.

Today when I tried 3dmark Fire Strike, Time Spy and even 3dmark11 I found that I am getting what could be artifacts, as it looks like red, blue, green and purple flares - good quality actually popping up while benching to the point where the benchmark would fail. I tried reverting back to an older driver but same problem there. It is not that straight and quick for a gpu to regress to that effect. Stock seems to work 100% but overclock only to 2078mhz core and +500 memory.

In case you question my results with the card, well here is the link to my hwbot profile http://hwbot.org/user/vpii/

Seem to have found the problem.... removed the hybrid cooler cleaned everything and reseated it which resulted in a 15 to 17c load temp drop.

Benching max temps around 36c and able to go through the benchmark at 2139mhz core and 11200mhz memory. Running Doom for an hour or more gives max 46c load temps.

Is there an accessory that plugs to a pcie 8-pin and show power draw from that particular pcie slot?
