What about the G1 and ACX models, do they also have reference PCB? Or do EK still make blocks for them if they arn't reference.

Yeah like he said ARMOR has same PCB and power design as the GAMING models. I'm putting mine under water eventually, unless I get a new card first or decide to wait on one.

ACX uses reference PCB. I thought G1 used reference PCB but I've read conflicting things about it.

There you see all the custom blocks from EKWB - Custom blocks means differences in pcb I guess

Series like Armor fit in the TF6 range yes

EKWB also mentioned on their page :

"Please note that more GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics cards will be supported due to water blocks compatibility with PCB"

You're right so that confirms it. Classified and FTW use different PCB and require different water blocks I see. Wouldn't have expected that.

1080 G1 uses custom pcb with 1 x 8pin 8+2 or 8+3 phases from what i saw by testing different 1080 cards like EVGA FTW Classy Asus Strix and Gigabyte Xtreme Zotac AMP Xtreme and few others
1080 G1 has one of the best custom pcbs out there i got G1 cause it was only one available at that time wanted to change it since i have friend with pc store is no problem but after all testing we did i decided to stick with the G1

I have the EVGA hybrid cooler and with the stock thermal paste it comes with temps were between 45 and 50 but I was using conductonaut thermal grizzly for the TDP mod so I went ahead and VERY CAREFULLY put it on the gpu and it works amazing. Doesn't go above 40 while gaming and 45 under stress tests.

My advice is that if you plan to stay with air-cooling, get the AMP Extreme as it runs 20C cooler than the AMP (60s vs 80s @ 4K) and TDP is higher (270W vs 230W). Being Pascal so temp sensitive, the Extreme gives you a much higher shot to achieve +2100Mhz stable (2126 vs 2066 in my personal experience with both cards).

If one day those Pascal BIOS limiters get "hacked" (pretty uncertain atm), the Extreme cooler is so good that it would allow 2200 on air without problems, while the AMP version is already temp limited hitting +80C on fans@100%.
