[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1080 Owner's Club - Page 54

I manged to break today my 980Ti on 1555 on air so I am not gonna upgrade to 1080 for sure, considering its price.

But I really hope 1080Ti will be a total killer. For 1440p my 980Ti is more than enough but if 1080Ti can offer at least 50% more power- I am going for it.

for 1080... nah really. I would upgrade from 970 though thumb.gif

Anyone having an issue where you get horizontal lines flash for a second when the card switches between power states? It happens whenever the clocks are changed. Looks like its related to the memory clock.

I can activate it on purpose by changing the memory clock in MSI Afterburner. Doesn't seem to be related to stability as it happens when the memory isn't overclocked at all.

Here's a video:

Wow your 980ti sli kicking all those 1080sli s. Is because the 1080 drivers are still new?
Also I was gonna upgrade my 980ti HOF to a 1080

Edit just noticed that 6950x, damn that guy spent a lot on parts.

Yes, this does happen to me intermittently, I thought I was the only one.

Your video is exactly what i have seen about maybe a dozen times or so the past week.

Does it do it as it goes through the power states, as in load to idle and each P step?? I had the same issue and the only thing that fixed it was uninstall EVGA Precision X(In your case, MSI afterburner) and reset the PC and reinstall. Fixed it for me, hope it does for you.

Edit : Forgot to mention it started when messing with the automatic overclock JUNK they now have, don't touch it lol

Yeah it basically does it whenever the memory clock changes. After a reboot it disappears for a while but then it comes back. It happens in the witcher 3 when switching from in-game to the map.

BIOS modding tools can't come soon enough. Never liked having overclocking utilities installed.

Wasn't that only for ANSEL ? I thought that the multi-monitor setup angle fix is just something you setup in the drivers (by manually specifying the angle you have your monitors at).

He's running 1080s.

Those things are really showing their legs in Ultra.
