I have the same flickering at times when I apply the overlock as well on my 780 Classy. Never experience them otherwise though than applying or disabling oc.

I'm getting them constantly in the Witcher 3 when switching from the game to the map. I'm going to try high performance mode in the control panel so the clocks don't change whilst in-game.

it always takes them about 2 years to polish all the bugs from the base model, then they call it the Ti model.
and in between they release some other cards like the Titans and such to breach the gap.

then next year, the Ti model becomes the new "thing" that is just a little faster than the Titan, and much faster than the base model.

That example has been repeated endless time since the GTX 200 series

The only time nVidia doesn't release a Ti model are for the dual GPU cards like the GTX 590 and GTX 690, GTX 790 and all the previous models.

We probably might not see the GTX 990 if it was ever on any road maps, since this generation of 900s the Titans were introduced, which kind of took that crown away, and there was no further need for the Dual GPU for the 900 series

The 980ti was not faster then the Titan it was a cut down card the Titan X was still about %5 faster and 12gb vram
Titan X OC well

Clock vs clock the TX will win every time. The reason people think the 980ti is faster is because custom cards come with higher clock speeds out of the box. Most reviews bench the custom cards against the stock TX which has a base clock of 1000mhz with boost at 1075mhz. TX has 3072 cores.. 980ti is the same chip with 2816 cores..

What? When I reply to someone and I say 'that guy has no idea what he's talking about' I'm obviously talking to them, not about them. I was talking about the guy that the person I replied to quoted.

I was able to get my founders editions on 100mhz core clock over clock and 400mhz memory overlock with the regular fans. I just set the power limit to 120 and the fan speed to 90%. its a little loud but on air they stay at 78 degrees C. The performance gain is very good.
